We are a mobile sauna space for the modern being. A sanctuary that encourages rest and relaxation through our communal wood-fired sauna which we keep in the range of 80-90 degrees. We partner with different beaches for ocean dips alongside warm sweats.
-
Shared sauna sessions accommodates up to 5 guests, ensuring an intimate experience. Private sessions can host up to 5 individuals in your group.
-
The sauna is hot between the hours of 9am - 4 pm. In the cooler season we operate Friday, Saturday and Sunday and as the weather warms we relax into a slower schedule. Our calendar is updated 2 months in advance.

We wish! Taroona beach location has a toilet block and cold shower. Drip beach is remote and so we recommend taking a stop in Cygnet on your way.
-
Taroona Beach - is located down Taroona Cresent just 15 minutes from Hobart centre.
Drip Beach is 15 minutes south of Cygnet and the last portion of the drive is windy, we’re at the end of Drip Beach Rd.
We do recommend if you're driving to consider that weather, the mist, the gorgeous scenery, the need for a little stop along the way might take a bit of time, so please factor this in when planning your travel. No one likes rushing to relax.
-
We are a bathers on, public beach, communal wet sauna. We practice body positivity as an inclusive space we respect all bodies, shapes, sizes, colours, gender expressions, and abilities. This is a mutually considered culture of consent, when you book with us, you agree to respecting all bodies and the people in them. We view sauna as a practice of ecological connection and encourage wellbeing for all beings.
Bookings
-
No, bookings are made online. We recommend planning in advance.
-
Best approach is to check our calendars for Drip Beach and Taroona.
If we do have seats remaining or last minute shuffles these are shared in our instagram stories.
-
Currently our booking system is set to one seat only per checkout. This is because our insurance waiver is embedded in the check out. Please persevere and cycle through multiple times if you are seeking several seats.
-
The fastest approach is to cycle through the check out 1 seat at a time, for as many seats as you are seeking. It’s tedious and is on our long list of gltiches to remedy, but for now we appreciate your patience.
-
Our trading permits are annually renewed. Gift vouchers are bound to be valid for 3 years. Vouchers are therefor a liability if our permits were to be revoked. Hope you can understand.
We love that you want to gift your friends and loved ones the experience of Elsewhere and suggest you can buy them a future session that they can change the date to suit, or make your own hand drawn voucher with some cash! Remember that stuff?

Sauna sessions
-
Each session is 1 hour moving between sauna and ocean.
-
We always recommend to listen to your body. You are the knowledge keeper of what feels good, your health and how you meeting your edges may affect you on any particular day.
We find that some days a swim prior to entering the sauna is the best way to start and other days a more gentle approach of heat first is the way to go. Ultimately this rotation is the medicine and we don’t wish to be prescriptive about how you engage with the ritual.
As you move through the experience be sure to listen to your body, stay hydrated. Our host is always present and close by to check in with guests.
-
We recommend bringing:
a swimsuit (no nudity allowed)
2 large fluffy towels, one for changing and one for sitting on. A robe is also a great look.
a water bottle keep you hydrated
you good self and some friends
-
Slides are a great idea for the tender foot. If you have a pair bring them along. If you’re into bare feet no need!
-
We advise anyone with an existing medical condition to seek advice from their medical practitioner about the safety of using hot and cold therapy for their condition before booking a sauna.
-
We recommend you consult with a medical professional regarding suitability if you are pregnant.
-
